Intro to Lino printing
Share
Join us at Flavour Like Fancy for a evening of Lino printing with Sophie Greenwood from Ink and Bear. On Thursday 23rd June at 6-9pm.
In this beginners' intro to linoprint workshop, you will learn about how to transfer your design onto a block, how to cut your design into the lino and how to print your design using ink. We'll be using wooden spoons to transfer your design onto paper, so you can learn to do it at home, and you'll get chance to use a printing press too!
You'll be able to make a series of A5 prints, or a set of cards to take away with you. Don't worry if you're not a confident drawer, I will show you how to make abstract designs or trace from an existing design. This workshop is the perfect opportunity to take some time out, get creative and have some fun.
All materials for use at the workshop are included in the price. I recommend you bring some ideas with you for your design so you can get started straight away! Stuck for ideas? Get in touch and I can send you some inspiration through of some lino printmakers I love!
Please note this workshop is for those ages 16+. We'll be using sharp tools to cut out the paper design and I will be providing a health and safety briefing. In purchasing the ticket to this workshop you accept full responsibility for your own safety when using the sharp implements.
No prior experience neccessary!
